Like most industry events this year, the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) has chosen to take their Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (BACE) virtual. VBACE, as it’s being referred to, will be two days of virtual networking and idea-sharing in the business aviation space. According to the event’s site, the show “will incorporate many of the traditional elements of NBAA’s successful live events, including over 165 virtual 3D exhibit booths, two keynotes, press conferences, education sessions, and more.”
Among those education sessions, “The Future of Flight: How Digital Solutions are Transforming the User Experience,” looks closely at how the ability to harness data throughout the aviation ecosystem impacts operation management and the passenger experience as a whole.
The conversation features insights from Tom Sterling, Director of Technology Services and Operations at Collins Aerospace, Scott Ulhir, Associate Director of Digital Strategy at Collins Aerospace, and Daniel Baker, President and CEO of FlightAware, with NBAA’s Phil Derner moderating the discussion. You can watch the conversation when it airs during VBACE on December 2, 2020, from 4 pm-5 pm ET.
Business aviation in and of itself is unique to other sectors of aviation, so it’s important to note that the approach to technological innovation specifically across business aviation may look different than at the commercial level. Different operational protocols, best practices, and infrastructures that are in place for business aviation mean that specific digital solutions are needed to meet the expectations of a different passenger type. The Connected Aviation Today editorial team has explored this topic of leveraging data throughout the entire aviation ecosystem at great length and looks forward to learning more about the future of data management and technological innovation in business aviation.
